Shahzoda Alikhanova

My research is focused on exploring the potential of Nature-based Solutions in one of the world’s most challenging dryland ecosystems: the Aral Sea region. This exploration is conducted through a multidisciplinary approach at the cross-section of ecological, geospatial, and social sciences. More specifically, I am examining the human-nature nexus, land-use land cover change, adaptation, and mitigation solutions to climate change – all through the prism of Nature-based Solutions.
