Bhavya is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (Net Zero Governance Systems) at the Net Zero Regulation and Policy Hub. At the Hub, she works on mapping and analysing climate mitigation policies across countries. Before joining the Hub, she completed her doctorate in 2024 at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Her doctoral thesis focused on examining the role played by central banks as policy actors in mitigating the physical and transition risks posed by climate change to financial stability and facilitating funds towards low-carbon sectors. During her PhD, she also spent one year at the Macmillan Centre for International and Area Studies at Yale University as a Fox International Fellow in 2022–23. Before beginning her PhD, she was a Visiting Research Fellow at the Crawford School of Public Policy at Australian National University.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, and a master’s degree in international relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
